They used to speacilise just stuff for the original Mini, seems they have broadened their horizons.
No experience of their products though, why not stick with tried and tested calipers that you will not have a problem with when it comes to getting spare parts for?

I did my work experience at KAD during my studies. Top company and products. They thoroughly test their hardware on road and track and have TUV for many of their products. Excellent stuff! They work on many cars even though they specialise in some funky hardware for Minis:Ally flysheels, ally swingarms, 16V heads, dog leg 5 speed box, rear disk brakes etc as welll as 4 and 6 pot calipers for a range of brake kits up to 380mm for other cars. Gary Oldfield runs the company and he is a top bloke. I stayed with him while working and he used to be a top engine builder at Westlake and worked on everything from Group C to high performance Porsche engines for airships. He even used to do work for Dave Vizard too. KAD have an engine duno and do head work and race spec preparation for engine developments.

Oh yeah, they also did a 180bhp mini engine which revved to over 11,000 rpm and also got 200bhp from a normally aspirated 1500cc mini lump!!! Loony.

Thanks for the info Lee.Looks like KAD could be a much better company to deal with for calipers than Hi-Spec.How does their pricing compare with the competition?

I have no idea on pricing but I do know that they were exporting mini hardware to over 50 countries and have a pretty good reputation. They must have sent a lot of stuff to New Zealand. They design their brakes to take readily available pads and disks so spares shouldn't be much of an issue. They have been going for many years now.

Their products are proven on the racetrack. Not much of a risk as their reputation is very good in competition and aftermarket circles.

I have AP and they are awesome but I would definately buy KAD too. I got a good deal on my AP stuff so that's why I went that way otherwise KAD would have been joint-top choice and it would have come down to disk and pad options to make a decision if the caliper prices were similar.

how about ap compare to porsche ? 350-355 : 6 pods
which one is better, any comments?

I've never done a subjective comparison.
