Ive searched but didnt come up with anything.
Has anyone ever fitted b5 rs4 front calipers to the s2? Can you se the rs4 discs or is the et completely wrong?
Thanks in advance
Gav
anything can be made to fit, just depends how much your willing to spend getting them to fit.
Its easier and more cost effective to go a tried and tested route rather than buy something in the hope you can get it to fit and then when it is finally fitted find out that there is just a marginal increase in how it works.
i.e. you can get austin princess four pots cheap but I doubt anyone would ever want them fitted to their cars.
I'd suggest trying to get proper porsche callipers.

not really seeing the point in that comment unless its a pi55 take tbh.
rs4- hardly comparable to an austin princess regardless how cheap. Bearing in mind the perfromance of a stock rs4 i wondered if this was a viable upgrade on the s2.
If everyone chose the tried and tested routes we wouldnt be modding our cars and we'd all be driving mondeos. Howd you think the 996 upgrade came about in the first place? thinking out the box

I think he was trying to say that anything can fit on anything.....but you may as well do the tried and tested rought as you have a definite upgrade, some brakes may be gigger/more powerful on one car but that doesnt mean they will be better on your car, remember that its all about piston size, some of the 4 pots out there, even porsche and wilwood will actually give reduced performance.
i dont think anyone is sugesting you put on princess calipers.......just trying to suggest it may not be worth the effort. personally i'm on your line of thinking..i'm weighing up the pros and cons of fitting full cayenne setup on a coupe rather than the 996. although not the same as it has been done before, its not documented that i can find......as long as your prepared that it may all go horribly wrong i say go for it

91' Coupe quattro 20v - project KW V2s and other goodies
now gone 03' BMW 330CI - Sold 08' A5 Coupe 3.0l tdi quattro - Sold 57' BMW 525d M Sport Touring
It was not a piss take, it was to say anything can be fitted depending how much time/money you have, it might not be a good end result.
If people want a better option to look into. How about brembo's from a mitsubishi evo as I know some cosworth owners have fitted them due to you can get them cheaper than other options. You could try a pair of them if you really wanted to. I know for a 4 stud car you could try mate them with focus rs discs.
no matey, had willwoods on the silver 20vcq i sold to ben, the s2 had a kit Tim was doing. Cant rember what calipers they were but they were also 4 pots. Didnt really rate them tbh.
I probably will end up going the 996 route but was just looking at different options
