    Hi James,
welcome to the forum. There are many very comprehensive threads under brakes. they take some getting through. The threads go way back. go to the bottom of the page and there is a section called display options. change the setting from 100 days to say beginning. this will display a much larger number of threads.

I don't know about the A4 disk, the favourite disk is the A8 disk which is 314mm x 30mm and this is used on with Porsche calipers. Ther disks are about £30 each even from Audi.

The standard A4 disk is much the same size as the S2 disk and so would not give any improvement in braking efficiency. The size needs to increase and/or the caliper improved. I was at a party on Saturday and spoke to someone who has a A4 1.9TDI quattro and he says the brakes are lousy. The S4 brakes may be a potential option but I would suggest the A8 disk and Porsche calipers. This is one of the best/simplest options to manage.

MartinJS has made caliper brackets for others and myself, he may be able to make some for you.

    Enjoy the forum.

    David
