    Thanks

I've had the sensor ring disintegrate a couple of times and have had to replace the CV, not cheap either for a quality make, afaik the rings are not available (from audi at least).

I bought a new joint from Pete@ Quattro Corner recently £85
the abs ring is integral not a separate part.
Can you not weld a blob onto the damaged part and then file it back into shape?

no oddly enough the ring came off the joint very very easily, i did try and re shape it it looked pretty much spot on after i had finsihed with it only to find it's just loose now on the cv joint.

It's not a q though, can't believe you cannot get the rings seperately...

                  Off for another look.

That's a rear ABS ring which you have quoted the part number for Carlos
Rears are available, but only on FWD cars, they a drifted on the the rear hub which has no driveshaft and hence no CV joint back there.

Front rings are not available separately afaik, I did a bit of searching last year when trying to spruce up a pair of front CV's when doing the five hub swap on the TDi.

i got some rings off i 4 cyl 80 or 90.they had been replaced recently.i got them off with a really thin gasket scraper, and now one of them(along with a rear sensor off an 80 estate)is on the back of mine.not sure if i got them off the front or rear.they seem to be made of aluminium.
