  • 996 Disc replacement

The time has come to replace the discs on my 996 set up. The pads are worn really badly and the discs havnt been changed since the monoblocks were installed courtesy of “Jas-co” services two and a half years ago . This will be the third set of pads too which is not too bad going really.

Although the pads are pretty straightforward to replace as far as far as I can recall in order to change the discs I will need to remove the two long RS2 allen bolts that secure the calliper to the calliper bracket. Don’t think they have any loctite or similar on them to make removal more difficult. Anyone know what torque setting I should use to tighten them up??

    Cheers

    Paul

    125nm.
There's no locktight on there. Use an allen headed socket rather than a big key. You don't want it rounding off

        Hold that thought.
125nm is bracket to hub carrier, 85nm for calliper to bracket
