ABS Controller Repairs

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with people like BBA Re Man or anyone else to recommend!!! who offer repairs for abs pump controller (not ecu) this is the bit on the end of the pump with the big black electrical connector. My A6 has started to go disco with the warning lights and having pulled the fault codes it's a classic sign of failure.

Funny that it all my years of driving older audi's i have never had this problem before, now the newer stuff seems to be afflicted with crap quality parts.

I'd be inclined to go 2nd hand.

have you got a part number as I have a spare ABS ecu lying around

Well i was thinking of a trip to a scrapper tomorrow (weather permitting) the part no for the pump inc the controller on the side is 8E0614111A, there seem to be a lot of variations on the part no mainly the last letter, this pump was commonly fitted to A4/A6 Vw passat circa 1998 to around 2001.
