  • ABY Avant Handbrake Frozen

Had my Off-Side Rear Caliper frozen soild about three times over the recent cold spell, Im gussing water in the handbrake cable?

Any easy fix options or just get a new cable?

On my old car (Fiat) it was a common fault, any one else had theirs freeze up?

Dont think it will be frozen, just worn more like on the outer casing and water has got in and rust then sticking...I would replace both at the sametime not hard job....Long reach sockets and two long extensions for the adjuster(over the top of the prop) the rest straight forward

It is most likely the lever that operates the piston inside the caliper that has "stuck" - A common problem...

A stripdown and regrease might work...
