have i bought the wrong calipers?

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...id=p2759.l1259

looking at the PN 996.351.42 and comparing it to the 996 thread the numbers look right, but it says they are GT3 calipers?

will these work with the seat/RS2 carriers? or have i messed up and bought a caliper that needs custon carriers made

if so any ideas where i can get them made?

You have, I was watching them those are the GT3 monoblocks that can take the wider 32mm brake disc.

you will need custom carriers as they do not have the same bolt pattern as the 996 monoblocks

I did a thread the other day which Bry confirmed the part numbers and the space pattern.

There is a 996T/GT3 4 pot monobloc. They use a thicker disc. The p/n of those fronts are:
    996 351 429
    996 351 430.
    They are usually red.
They do differ in dimensions. The caliper spacing is different so won't bolt onto RS2 mounts for example. Simple way to check is to measure from the front of one mounting hole to the front of the other. If its 130mm they are ordinary 996 calipers. If its 142mm they are 996T/GT3.

He offered them to me for £280 but his info didn't tie up.

When questioned about the P/N he came up with:
        996351421

Which I think related to the rear calipers on the Boxster. As I wasn't sure I left them alone, need to be totally sure as I want them to bolt on to the Octavia.

They are stamped into the caliper so can easily get a picture

Looking at the pictures I'd say they were rears, I had a pair of GT3 calipers and the pistons were much bigger than these, also the part number in the listing is not complete, it needs another digit on the end.

Yes, and it took me several attempts to get a part number out of him too. That's why I was a bit dodgy about it.
