    Brake upgrade time

Hi everyone, got about £1000 to £1100 to spend on brake upgrades and it is soon going to be mot time and need to overhaul my S2 avant's brakes anyway!! So time to upgrading them i think..:mischeif:..

Is there any traders or suppliers on the forum who can help, supply or even recommend other suppliers for the relevent parts..

Would like to go with the 323x30mm front upgrade and for the rear i am not sure about other than at least upgrading to vented rear discs..

Got my 996 calipers from a porsche breakers for £400 still had good pads attached too.
Used Seat brackets and got them machined but think they are so high priced now you are better buying rs2 brackets.
Brake lines with banjo and swivel coupling came from ebay, the fittings were not stainless but for £30.00 thought it was ok.

      cheers

Yep for that money the Porsche 996 fronts will be within budget, AP did a front brake kit for the S2 but it's more like £1400-1500 (maybe more now) for that.

If i had a grand for brake upgrades from stock, I'd go for 996 up front and Paul_N's 300mm upgrade for the rear.

look at the btdts by s2avant, seem to remember it being around 500-600 if its all new...could be very wrong tho, either in the top tip section or the brakes section

As for the 256mm rear upgrade, you need S4 facelift read calipers and carriers and redrilled 225bhp TT rear discs to 5x112 and it all bolts on. Same hoses and hand brake cables.
Just some finishing touches to do now

Thanks for all your reply's. Finally started ordering parts.. calipers, pads, braided brake lines, Mounting brackets and bolts.. just the discs to order..

When i ordered the mounting brackets from my local audi dealer, he told me that there were two sizes available depending on the year of rs2.. One for the 304mm disc and the other for 322mm disc so i ordered the ones for 322mm.. Not to bad on price £83 each.
