Odd ABS workings - Help please

I have upgarded to 966 on the front with std ABY on the rear.

On heavy braking I can feel the ABS mechanics / pressure changes under foot and hearing a wurring sound from the ABS pump in the rear?

The ABS kicks in quite early maybe as the brakes are alot grippier than standard, I also have had the ABS light come on so turned the ignition off and on and ABS light stays off.

All seems fine then as above happen all over..

Would be great to get this all sorted as the horses are coming, ideas and help please as to where and what to check / amed / fix

    Many thanks

There is no ABS pump in the rear... the ABS controller is under the rear seat though.

Pull fault codes with VAGCOM for starters. My site itemises all the ABS codes as 1st port of call.

I'd laugh if the ABS is working as it should, symptoms caused by enthusiastic driver

Reluctor ring is the ring the ABS sensor reads off in the hub. If its bust the sensor won't be able to get a proper reading. I've had problems with these but only a low speeds.

                      One of these...

Switch the abs off and see if the symptoms persist or go away.

Hard to turn ABS off on the ABY - you need to pull the fuse instead...

                          .

That's what we did on the missus 'wover'...

Strange feeling through the pedal...sometimes the brakes were there and sometimes not...scary.
