    Nice summary Louie...

I'd only consider the hydraulic HB on an S2 for any forays onto gravel or snow where it can be used to flick the rear on a tight turn - needs declutched though to be effective - as you say the best / bravest / craziest drivers can do the old scandinavian flick on a hairpin with 4WD but mere mortals would need some help with this... and lots of power is needed to break traction on dry tarmac for such a stunt. When you watch some of the WRC guys do this it is amazing...

The Brembo has 130mm spacing and the rear coupe strut spacing is 90mm but it's the offsets that I'm interested in. Unfortunately the RS2 front brackets have a 94mm spacing in standard form.

Oh and what discs do you use?

      Cheers,

I'll see if I can find my drawing for the rear brackets. I spent about 2 weeks with Brembo's catalog looking for the perfect rotor option; I was looking for correct bolt pattern, center bore, diameter, width, and an offset that could be compensated for with a machined bracket. After lots of searching and measuring, I found the perfect rotor; it's an A6 rotor, 288mm I believe and can be purchased for less than $50 (<40 Euro) at any auto-part store (at least around here).
Can't remember the exact model off the top of my head but I'll check my records.
After having the brackets machined, I test fitted and I have to say: this is one of the very few things on this project that seems to have gone perfectly!

Brackets are T6 - 6061 billett, and are not exactly pretty, but functional. I'll see how the aluminum holds up once I get this thing going. Cost me ~$180 for materials and machining.

-I have a Tilton valve which I may install after some test runs to get the bias right; I just read the other day (maybe it was on this forum) that the Boxster S rear brakes are nearly the same size as the fronts because the engine is in the rear. I didn't measure the pistons, but it makes sense.

Right you are, pal. Exactly what i meant hydraulic HB is good for stunt driving and may be some help when drifting. Not that it is widely used in rally in no circumstances to be used as a parking brake or secondary braking system.
