shouldn't be too hard to design some spacers for the calipper carriers, but I guess the 30 mm disc won't fit in the S2 calipper, right?

I wonder if there is any caliper carrier clearance issues with 30mm wide rotors. I suspect there is a chance it might need to be machined a bit. I'll have to check it out when the rotors get to my door.
I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who need reasons when you've got quattro?

Has anyone confirmed if this is a simple upgrade without the need for machining or spacers?
I'm due for new pads & rotors soon anyway so this would be a pretty cheap upgrade in the scheme of things.

not much help here, but now it's done after some time spent with the grinder.

I was going down the same route as this aswell but grabbed some Seat Cupra R 4pot calipers which are one peice (no seperate mounting bracket) and work on the s2 with a small amount of spacing and A6 c5 model discs 314mm diameter, 25mm thickness. Went for this as they were offered to me cheaper than porsche brakes.

Bikerjim did something similar to this on his coupe. Take a look at his posts.
                        Also,
Servus!

                        discs are 4F0 615 301 D (314 x 25 mm) 5x112 found on A6

Ok, i already have the porsche brakes though, and now i got some new wheels and the porsche caliper is just too big so the the spokes hit the caliper before the wheel reaches the hub So i need "thinner" calipers.
