    Assistance with rotors

Im looking for rotors in the regon of +/-350mmx32mm for my 4 pot brembos, i have come across a6 quattro rotors in at that size but i need to know the pad depth.

I need a pad depth of 60mm for the pads on my brembos, can any body tell me the depth of the above discs or sugest a disc that will suit my need.

Or am i looking at 365x34 rs4/6 rotors and a set of bigger wheels? ££££ ouch

    Thanks guys.

    What calipers do you have?

Is the standard 323 x 30 rotors (S8's) with RS2 brackets work for you ?

After spending 30min in eurocp yesterday with a very un helpfull
Im looking at the B6 S4 rotos (4.2 V8) which are 345mmx30mm but im un sure of the pad depth and i really dont think that i should go down to a 30mm disc as the standard aston disc size was 34mm.......

My other option is a 2005+ A8 4.2 V8 TDI/6.0l W12 Pheton 360mmx34mm im prety sure the pad depth will not be a problem with this but it means 18" alloys which i didnt really want to shell out for.

RS4/RS6 rotors not an option as I cant pay nesr 500GBP every time to replace rotors.

          Any asistance?

Best thing to do IMHO it's having a couple of pots (we call them "bells" in Italy) machined to your requirements in Ergal and then get the rotors from Brembo much better brakes and eventually convenient.
It's the solution that I will get the next time a I'll need to change my front disc brakes.

Prices here in Italy are euro 200/230 for the pots/bells and 350 for the couple of Brembo rotors in 322x32.

            P.S.
4 pots caliper from a 430 Ferrari am I guessing right that they're on the back wheels of the Ferrari?

I am going to use a 350x34mm Porsche disc rotor that has a 68mm annulus. But they are not easy to get hold of, and not easy to get under a 17" wheel.
Does it need to be a rotor? Or could you use something like a modified Touareg/Q7/Cayenne 350x34mm disc like Aron has done?

I thought about this but isnt the Q7 pcd 130x5 pcd and the offset is quite deep? I would like to stay with the 17" wheels, ill look in to it.......

I asume you are getting the porsche discs machined to fit?

No definetly not, I have all 4 calipers 2 front and 2 rear.

                  I am using rotors.

A deep offset can help with smaller wheels. In the case of my Porsche Cups there is a smaller rim just around the inside of the spokes, there is probably enough clearance for 365mm discs beyond this, otherwise 350 is tight.
You have to watch they don't go too far though, when you start interfering with the carrier mounts and the lower ball joint for example.

Check Aronmatic2's thread here, he used the discs I mentioned. I almost did the same, but decided that would be too easy.

I found the details of the Cayenne discs somewhere, offset and so on, I've misplaced them now. But I made up various known discs from wood to see how they would fit under the wheels.

The Touareg/Q7/Cayenne discs need to have the PCD altered if you have S2 hubs and wheels, also the centre bore needs to be made smaller. I can't find the details of how Aron did this now. But I don't think that is too difficult on the grand scale of things.

I wouldent mind machining a center bore biger but to put a spacer, not for me.
Looks like ill have to bite the bullet and get me some 18" wheels.
