Hi guys, been searching on here for a while but i still dont understand all the type/chassis abbreviation yet, is there any way to convert a 10v 90 quattro on a 87 to 5x112 all round without adapters?
Im guessing that the fronts require the s2 hubs?
Do i need s2 shafts too?
Worth checking with 20v owners as to what they have done, think there might be a difference in the splines with some of the shafts as 10v I think has 4 or something less splines that 20v driveshafts.
If your after some hubs pm spink on here, he has a set.
This is what you after?............On my 10v quattro F reg Audi 90
Rear driveshafts,are the same,front i used S2 driveshafts and S2 box.,or you could use a 20V FLANGES to your 10v gearbox.
Outer cv joint on front from Audi 90 quattro 10v ,is smaller than on 5 stud flange, need to make changes.
Rear rear flange 5 stud goes into rear bearing housing OK.
Below you will see two possible ideas for rear vented rotors. I tried a couple of different calipers and rotors, basically running with ideas I got from other original thinkers on other forums.
These are a couple of different combinations using two different rotors, two different calipers, both...

Hope it makes sense........

Hi John, I take it that is THE 90 quattro Sport you bought off me? Good to see it again! A very, very rare car/spec!
one option is just to change the CV joints. you need em from a 2.3 20v engined car, or from a V engined car. and of course, all 4 5x112 hubs.
The inner cv joints on driveshafts of the V6/S2/20V have a bigger flange than 10v on gearbox,as well as the inner splines of outer cv joint, are smaller than for the S2/20V/V6.....NOT easy to swop over...from experiance

Yes its the same car...............body work and interior been vanderlized as it was in storage last year........they tried to steal her and damaged the wings and dented door........window smashed and they tried to steal her,i left nearly no fuel in car so didnt get far as was in a barn we didnt know till a few weeks later interior got wet etc.......sad state she was in........only reason i kept her was of good spec........done a few changes but keeping all orignal equipment,as well as the look out for replacement items to put her back to stock

I was talking about the outer joints.
V6Q and 2.3 20v dont have the same axles as the S2, so dont mix them together.
So 38 teeth on the hub part of the CV, 30 teeth on the axle part of the CV, and you can use the 5x112 hubs on your axles/gearbox/diff.

I was refering to the inner part of outer cv joint,of the S2/V6/20V ,its too big for the 10v driveshaft.......,you are correct that the hub of the S2 ,works with the outere cv joint of V6 /S2/20V.........BUT trying to use the cv joint on the 10v driveshaft doesnt work.....(not with the joints i bought.....either i was sold incorrect outer joints i dont know)
The diameter of thedriveshafts splines of 10v for outer joint,is smaller than diamter of the driveshaft of the S2/20V/V6 .
A90TURBO: on your car you now have (or should have) cv joints with 30 teeth on the axles and 33 teeth in the hub. so you have the small bearing housings with 75mm bearings.
