Mine has done that for 5 years, as long as it passes the "bomb test" (switch off engine after a run, pump brake pedal counting the pumps untill the pedal goes hard). You should get about 50. Anything less than 30 or so is a concern....

        Cheers,

        Steve.

Does the light go out when you tap the brake pedal once?

the light stays on for about 10 seconds after start up, i did bomb test and stopped counting after 40 but it did force pas fluid out of the top of the tank? i topped the level up because of the warning light but think i probably put too much in

might sound like a daft question....have you checked your brake pipes??....

I had this last winter and it turned out to be a previously secured rear brake line joint had started weeping...one quick nip and "roberts your mothers brother"...

First thing to check is the PAS reservoir top cap, there's a low level switch in the cap that gets dirty and triggers the alarm - my money is on this as 40 pumps on the bomb sounds fine. It will increase the level of the fluid in the tank, don't worry about it, just make sure it's topped up with the bomb fully charged.

Doing the same thing on my S6....

1.Replaced new bomb(but the bomb had been on the shelf for many years) got 25 times at that time when first installed.big chance that the nitrogen will discharge itself as the time goes by.

2.Replaced brand new Brake Servo.damn Expensive.

                    3.good known of used Pump.

Now Bomb testing,it could count only 17 times on the stroke. My car is auto tranny so I need

to keep the foot on brake pedal all the times when I was in traffic. The (!) light on and

the pedal pulsating all the times. That's really annoying me.i'm going to get new bomb from Paul

                    ASAP.
