S2 Avant to RS2 rear brake lines

Guys can't make head nor tails of the good book.

What's the difference between the S2 Avant and RS2 rear brake lines?

Also whats the part number for the hose that goes from the caliper to brake line? Is there a goodridge version of this hose.

It seems the one that come's in the goodridge kit is the centre line not the one from the caliper to main line ( thanks Gav still be installed though )

Worth a look, don't know if they are the same as the RS2 uses the porsche calipers

the difference I found as I am using the S4 calipers, is the length of hose and the end fitting...as audi are using m12 instead of the standard m10.....I cannot think of the difference between the RS2 and S2...

Not sure what your asking here, when i bought the goodridge kit (euro version) there was a different kit for RS2's. 8 hoses for S2, 6 hoses for RS2 which i assumed was due to RS2's having a hard line of the front callipers. I would assume the rear calliper lines are a different length or connector for the Porsche brakes too.

The hose in question isn't in the Goodrigde kit, I have the rear hoses they supply in hand and it's not for the caliper to brake line

Sorry your right, UK kit only has six hoses. The Euro versions have two different RS2 kits with 8 hoses. Not sure of the difference, big reds vs small reds perhaps.

From memory all the UK kits all start with SAU, all Euro kits start with XAU.

all hoses have an M10 end fitting....except, as I mentioned, the B7-S4 and any other new audi ones....

Are you after dimensions for a braided hose from the trailing arm to the caliper??..


I have those along with details of end fittings.....if this isn't what you are after I too amd confused....

I'm trying to find out what part numbers or goodridge numbers I need to convert, the line is not the same as an avant or s8 afaik

That hose is £50 each from audi I can't believe there isn't a goodridge alternative

Item 15 is the one to the caliper (8A0 611 769). The other hose is item 14 on that picture (8D0 611 775 C). You also have the 165mm line between the two (item 8).

The caliper line is exclusive to the RS2 though so unless Goodridge make a specific kit for RS2's (I can't search the net at work) then you will have to bite the bullet and go for OE or get them fabricated.
