    RS2 brake pads Advice

RS2 Standard brakes No idea re present pads except I doubt they are anything special.
Used EBC green then red(better) on previous S2. Thinking of Ferodo 2500s or Pag blues. Local specialist does EBC.
Any thoughts/advice. Part nos would be great and I would source the blues from porsche specialist unless advised otherwise.

I melted a set of EBC Greens in 80 miles, completely knackered. Great on light cars but no good on a 1.6 ton bahnstormer.

I can thoroughly recomend (as will others) the Ferodo DS2500. Buy them from Circuit Supplies as they are Ferodo importers or try Motorsport World for extremely competitive pricing and deliveries. DS2500 are a lot more expensive than most but outlast anything else I have tried with unrivaled bite and feel. Top banana! Yes I do trackdays and most days my disks are a nice shade of blue during street driving indicating temperatures around 700 degrees C. No problems at all.

I have a set of Pagid RS4-4 at home to try next (Pagid Orange) because I have heard good things and I try to test as many products as I can to form a subjective opinion on their capabilities. I will report on the Oranges when I have done a proper test.

Do a full fluid change if it hasn't been done in the last 18 months. Try something like Castrol Super Response Dot4 (£10 a litre from Halfords) as this stuff is awesome value for money and is perfectly suited to fast road and track abuse. I also have some Castrol SRF left if you need some of that. Lot more expensive, doesn't mix with other fluids, needs replacing every 18 months but it is designed for ultimate performance on the track and is tough to beat at any price.
