    urS4/6 rear brake calliper

My dads s6 failed mot on handbrake imbalance yesterday. The mechanism wasnt working very freely so I took it off and have striped down the calliper to find that the actuator that the cable connects to was corroded on the shaft that goes into the caliper and the bore in the calliper body it sits in was corroded. The lip seal seems to have failed allowing water in and the grease out meaning everything got tight with corrosion. I have cleaned it all up removing the crusty rust and there is about 1mm of material missing between the calliper body and the shaft for about 5 mm after the seal. I need a set of seals at the very least I would guess however I'd be keen replace with a new one (or not so old) as the other side has been replaced with a new item in last 5 years, and it seems to be a alloy calliper of a A8

I don't know about any rear caliper seal kits but I do know that there are rebuilt C4 UrS4/S6 calipers available, at least in North America.

Here is a link to a Rear Caliper R&R with a link out to Fred M.'s DIY on rehabbing the caliper as well as an "official" Lucas caliper rebuilding link (might be what you need):

Here is a link to Emergency Brake info that might help as well:

Cant remember where was from, but ended up taking 8 days to come which the fellas at the motor factors even thought was bit long
Ill look for the docket this evening see can get any more info

The euro car parts one was what I was going to get, but after I added on postage to NI was ridiculous. Is where you live scotland classified as the highlands for you might have pay same postage

I live in the Scottish Grampians geographically but you are correct occassionally some couriers like to be a bit arsey and add a sneaky few quid on...
£89 is a lot more realisitc, or rather hopeful! I would be grateful if you could let me know.
