Well it time to change the pads on the Coupe and needing ideas what to get for the hi-spec calipers
The original ones did my nut in as they were noisy as hell ..What have others fitted?...looking for a happy medium brake pad , something that can take abuse but doesnt take an age to heat up
not sure of the pad shape/availability but I think a DS2500 would give you what you are looking for seem to remember they take somekind of AP Racing pad template, ebc and possibly mintex
Stick to porsche Al as the customer service from Hi-spec is shocking !!..guys a knob that runs it ..bought it as bolt on and ended up having to send back 3 times for them to correct carriers as they locked the discs with calipers on !!...he tried to charge me as well for all the shipping back and forward ..was the most stressful brake upgrade I have ever done and expensive!..porsche 996 or 993 very simple and straight forward install
lmao!!!! by the sound of it, its still Geoff running it!!! To be honest id hoped theyd moved on, used to deal with them alot, but Geoff is so unpro in his work ethic, like u said i dont think in all the sets ive had from him i didnt have any that were a bolt on. wrong carriers bells brackets missing seals wrong discs pads etc!
Porsche it is!
Thats the guy ..thinks he knows everything ...I ended up sending him a stub axle just to prove to him he was wrong ..he told me I had different type of stub axle on mine thats why it didnt fit ..Audi must of changed there set up from when he made the carriers he said ..lol ,,dingeys!!!!..lessoned learned to say the least !!...wish I had done a google search before I bought them as I did when I was starting to have issues and then I seen all the posts on subaru forums and evos about seizing pistons on brand new calipers from that point I knew it was going to be a challenging job!
