    S2forum brake performance¡¡ 100km/h to stop

    hello friends

yesterday i was testing some of my current brake performance, with a friend in my car and with more or less 1/2 of fuel tank...

i,ve done some diferent diferent tests and i am very sorprised and congratulated with the results.

i did it in a closed roads of course

i never used the 100% of the brake pedal, always around 85% as much.

my friend and me we think that my cars can stop 100km/h to complete STOP in around +/- 10 meters¡¡ that sounds fine

surelly i will can do it better if someday get scared with something dangerous in the road...braking 100% full pedal.

of course the road was dry and in very nice condition.

mine did it with Audi Ceramic 6 piston calipers, with special custom porsche pads, 385x36 perforated discs, Girling DOT 4 +, braided brake lines, and Goodyear F1 asimmetric tires with 235/35/19

after this... it would be nice if we can compare our diferent brake setups and diferent perfonmance true?? talking about brake distance used in our cars and wiht wich conditions like car weight, road state, and brake setup, pads used,etc....

what do you think about it??

come on partners we have to share this type of info too.

i would but she's flying currently.....up on 4 axle stands with no wheels on and no radiator/breather circuit/intake plumbing

Once the new boots are scrubbed in and ds2500/discs bedded I will for sure

                I think that 30 m +/- 5 would be more realistic

I'd say around 40m (+-5m) is realworld braking performance from 100km/h (true speed) not taking reaction time into account. Results vary between tires, surface and ABS generation. Even new cars strugle with 40m on controlled surfaces sometimes. Tires make a huge difference, R-compound street tires could start approaching 30m with good surface and skilled braking.

Most of times even stock brakes are enough for ABS to come into action on dry, dust free surface, bigger brakes just make it repeatable
All quattro products have been dermatologically tested, and are safe for daily use.

Which is EXACTLY what the missus did with the suzuki. Poor wall

                      Not done the S2 but...
Suzuki cant attain 100KM/H without a headwind. Stopping distance I really dotn want to think about without the wall.

100, probobly in the higher bracket, it doesnt do anything fast.

i will do more test... if i can this weekend i will do it with a real meters measure... :mischeif:

i bet 1€ that i can stop my car from 100km/h to STOP in less than 30meters,measuring the speed with a GPS.

ah¡¡ i am talking about the distance spent since my foot it is working on pedal not counting reaction time or something similar

small mini test this mourning coming from the work

with daylight¡¡ ,because yesterday the tests with my friend were in the dark night under the monnlight

                              15-20meters are Ok.

stop the car in 30 meters are too easy now coming to 100km/h.

10 meters only in my wet dreams , i will have to check all fine fine with a proper measure the next weekend

it brakes like a Russian mountain ¡¡ surelly it is not good for the chasis...
