I just measured those spacers on 280mm carriers. Turns out they are nearer 4mm so I am confident this 310mm parts bin creation will be just dandy. Watch this space - dry fitting pending!

It won't be a cheap upgrade so be wary of that. I need to find ATE or Pagid pads that will fit this 310mm application - but they are hard to find as it was for the armoured 'specical purpose' version of A8Q and I only see them listed on the family album so far at silly money.
Best thing is this trick should work on S2 Avant or Coupe - its just the calipers that will be differnt because of handbrake cable position.Paul Nugent

I weighed one of these allroad calipers today and compared with B4 caliper. Allroad version is a whopping 700g lighter than old iron B4 item. I can confirm that the B4 hydraulic hose does not fit the allroad caliper. Everything else is sweet though with same handbrake clip. Photos to follow in due course.Paul Nugent
