    996 GT3 6pots

Does anyone know if the 996 GT3 6pot calipers can be squeezed onto an s2?
Has anyone ever had a pop at it?

    Cheers

yup, plenty of people. I think you mean the GT2 6 pots? The GT3s had big 4 pots IIRC.

I think Jamo and Gazza on here are running the GT2s, amongst others. Have a search

Gazzag60, Smiler, 4wheeldrifter, europeanme are running them.

They are big calipers and require at least 18" alloys

Ah ha. I thought just the 997 GT3s had them

Easy enough upgrade if you have the budget. Custom brackets, bells, then discs arn't cheap, and neither are pads for them. also you will need to wear goggles to keep your eyes in your face

these carbon ceramic calipers are the same contruction as my Audi Ceramic ones i think, but they are a bit more little than mine

and surelly there are not pads non ceramic for non ceramic discs in the market for them

if you buy the calipers and it comes with their originals ceramic pads, you could send them to Ferodo with a caliper and they could make for you a custom one for steel discs

i am using for example a Porsche 997 special custom pads in my audi ceramic calipers, because there are not nothing talking about pads in the market for these calipers using steel discs

Eurocarparts sell pads for them, speak to GazzaG60 he's using the setup on steel discs

oh good to know in the future

i´ve paid 400€ for my custom special ones to "ultimot gmbh" they never did nothing for my audi ceramic ones, they had his first time with mine

they were skimmed in the upper and lower sides for fit in the calipers...

good luck if you finally buy them "aggent audi"

                        the setup is.

                        gt2 6 pot.
                        993 tt discs, custom bells,
                        pads of choice.
                        custom brackets.

they clear a 17" wheel by a fraction. highly recommend 18"

                        great brakes.

The 997 have even better 6 pot calipers, that have a built in brace to stop caliper flex

They cost a pot of gold though
