will Porsche boxster 4 pots fit my 3b s2?

Hi I am currently breaking an s reg porsche boxster and have the chance to fit the 4 pot brembos off it onto my s2. My question is will they fit under standard 3b alloys? Do I need a different mounting bracket? Is this readily available/where from? Can I use the standard porsche boxster disks and pads? Is there anything else I should know? Any help advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to those that gave me some advice with the electrical fault I had. All sorted and car now in body shop.

There has been quite a lot of discussion on this matter in the forum... Some say they will fit some say not... But before that can you tell me the following...

The calipers are they from a Boxster S or a Boxster??? Do you have the part numbers? 986 or 996's (They are stamped on the caliper)??

Are your alloys the 5 spoke 16's??

You can forget using the discs... they are the wrong bolt pattern and hat size..

Pads will be fine you just need to find a correct disc width for the caliperid guess 28 or 30mm i think s8 discs will fit the bill, at 314mm they fit under the 16" alloys. As for carriers they will have to be custom, any good machine shop will be able to make them, all you need is your hub, disc, caliper and pads drop them off then pick them up!
Probably the longet S2 project in history EVER!

Hi Callipers are from a boxster

        I have the 16" 5 spokes.

Will get part numbers and post a bit later.

Depends on what callipers they are, the 996 425/426 callipers fit under ABY alloys, 3B alloys are tighter though so need spacers at a minimum, better to 'upgrade' to ABY Avus alloys, they're cheap enough.

You need A8 314mm discs, solid brake line or hose, a custom machined bracket and some lightly modified carrier to hub bolts and OE calliper bolts. Pads are a matter of choice, DS2500s are the boys for track use, textars are fine on the road but do fade with prolonged, hard use.

You can go for 323mm discs to fit under 17s (no clearance issues on 17x8 ET35).

Easy conversion, many have done on here and well worth the effort.

If they are off the Boxster the parts should be 986-351-421 & 986-351-422

and the Fronts should look like these...

I don't know of anyone who has fitted a set of these to a S2... But would be interested in the outcome...

These calipers are smaller in size and in piston size to the Boxster S but the mounting holes are the same distance apart... The guide pins are 26mm apart rather than 31mm

I know Bambridge (Kev) makes a bracket to fit these to the UR with 300 x 25mm discs.

As to wether they will fit easily to an S2 maybe a suck it and see situation... I see no reason why not

It would depend on the caliper position when you bolt it all together and then finding a disc that will suit...

You could always sell the 986 calipers to a UR owner and put the money towards a set of the 996 calipers

But you will then have the problem of finding custom carriers...

I will be interested to see how you get on with these.. Drop Kev a PM and see what he thinks...
