S2 vs RS2 handbrake cable route?

On the S2 Avant the Handbrake cable goes through the wishbone

On the RS2 it goes through a separate bracket it would seem

Does this matter? As I've done my RS2 handbrake cable through the wishbone as I wasn't aware of this

Just from looking at it, your method might give quite a tight bend on the cable, just make sure it's as large a radius as you can get and all should do OK. Also make sure that any sideways tension doesn't cause the cable to seat incorrectly on the dust shield.

if you are using the RS2 mechanism for handbrake, it looks as if the angle the cables comes in is different(going more horizontally than vertically). But if you are using the S2 handbrake, just leave it as it is.

Jamo, I had a post on this a while back. See RS2 hand brake cable routing. The details and part numbers are listed in the last post.

              I just installed mine.

Ah cheers, well there's a waste of work already done, have to undo it all and redo the cable and get the bits in which is going to be fun
