You can change the style the forum displays by selecting your preferred style at the bottom left of the site.
We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
Forgive the non-s2ness of this but I have just fitted carbs to my coupeE and have removed the vacuum assist line from the brake master so that the brakes almost dont work. Now, i know i can just tap into each runner for the carbs and take the vacuum off there but i was wondering if i fitted a vacuum pump out of another car if that would do the job just as well? And would the amount of vacuum change greatly between cars?

AFAIK there was an engine vacuum pump fitted to some 10v motors, i believe thats what the strange mounting point between cyl 2 & 3 is for. Never seen one first hand but i would assume its cam driven so may not be an easy retrofit.
