Brake Pads to use in S2 calipers...

    Hey,

I'm fitting some S2 (G60) calipers (bought from a member on here ) on the front of my mk3 Ibiza Cupra.

Initially i was just going to fit Ferodo DS2500 pads, like i've always used in the past, but after reading on this forum i noticed the ones ferodo list don't actually fit.

So i'm just wondering what you guys run? and what you think to them?

The obvious choice at the moment seems to be Mintex pads, but i can't decide between M1144's or M1155's.

    Any help would be appreciated

You can also get EBC yellowstuff pads that will fit for around £90.

What about some of the other Ferrodo Pads Like DS2000

Sure I read somewhere that these fit the S2 Calipers... (Ed38 Maybe)...

Only Ferodo's OEM spec pads fit unfortunatly.

I've also been put off EBC pads due to past experiences, and plenty of negative comments on various forums.

Also not sure if a light car like my ibiza will be particularly suited to Yellow Stuff.

What's the general opinion on the EBC pads?

I've heard both good and bad things about them.

I've got yellowstuff all round and I'm happy with them. As well as performing well, there's little noticable dust with them. They did take a long time to bed in and squeaked to start with but don't squeak now.

I get the sense from other posts that redstuff aren't to be recommended and I don't know if greenstuff are available in S2 caliper size.
