  • Mintex Pads M1144

    Front £54.50+VAT Rear £42.50+VAT for RS2.

I had some a while ago for the standard S2 fronts at £35.51 +VAT. They stood up to the abuse a little better than normal pads (Pagid fast road). They didn't do anything to my disks, but they did squeal like mad! I was using Brembo disks at the time - these seem fine aslo, however the Zimmerman X-drilled I used before that suffered from excessive heat cracks.

I'm currently running 1144 pads with groved pagid disc's. Good stopping, no real noise, she howls (a little) when braking from the 140 mark but as far as I can tell they are pretty good.

using them too, but mine were much more expensive than that from demon tweaks, running them on zimmermann x-drilled discs and i think they eat through them a bit quicker but i'm not a really heavy braker so they are lasting....no noise apart from the hum on hard braking you'd expect on drilled discs and they are not bad on dust either.

I had the Mintex 1144 on my last car with black diamond discs - the discs wore quicker than the pads I suppose it all depends on how hard the discs are. AP told me to take my mintex pads off my AP discs as they eat their discs.

            Cheers Guys,
I'm Finding it hard to justify paying out for Ferodo 2500 pads. Too
expensive i think for what they are
Front £124.32 inc. vat Rear £59.62 inc. vat
Im gonna be using new standard disks OEM
If Mintex are not to bad on the disks

Charlie....the DS2500 pads do not fit the G60 (standard S2) caliper - dont waste your time trying, as you can see they are nowhere near the same shape even though the box they arrive in is marked for the S2 and Girling G60 calipers.....
I bought my mintex on the back of failing to fit the 2500's.

              Cheers,

              David
