    My tuppence to this thread,

Mine didin't, my S2 came with RS2 wheels, brakes, and hubs.

The bad handbrake was one of a number of reasons I went to the trouble and expense of changing it back to 5 x 112.

It allowed to be able swop rims around my various family cars, and also fit Mk 1 S8s to my Avant.

I'm sure it can be make to work, but it seemed to me that it might never work that that well for that long, and contuinaully haveing to adjust it didn't enthrall me.

That said, I miss the big back calipers and discs though, compared to the std S2 calipers and discs, especailly with Mk 1 S8s.

Another option is S8 d2 or RS4 rear brakes. Have anyone tried to fit those to RS2?

I had S8's for years back around 2005, they've become too popular now for my liking .

They are very heavy wheels and suit the Coupe or stock Avant bumpers better

My 19" are lighter and I notice the difference in handling

The Rs2 setup I have now, with 986 monoblock rears and gt3 fronts the brakes are in a different league, I could have gone the same route as s2avant as his brake setup is superb but 8 pots are overkill for a street car IMO

Sidebar to topic, but I drove along side a black one with a German plates on the front today at lunch. He was staring at my S4 and I the scirocco. Quite a treat too. I hadn't seen one on the road in years.

How come ? 5x112 on 5x130 ? This option seems is much more realistic:

                        rs2 handbrake

had my rs2 for 5 years and every6 months, took the mechanisms apart and re did at the brake end, just saw as a servicing essential, because you can guarantee when you need it[and it aint good at the best] ,,,,,,

When I purchased my RS2 it was impossible for an Audi specialist to adjust the hand brake and I was really upset.
Once, I talk about my problem to a BMW enthusiast who indicated me his mechanics. I went to see him. Once lifted (the car!), the mechanics did the adjustment in a few minutes...
Since many years it work perfectly.

That is a well known procedure by BMW

Mine works but it's pretty cack to be honest, useless on slopes...so I guess this is very common
