    New brakes

    Hi guys!

Finally I installed the front kit, it was the front aronmatic brakes, porsche cayenne turbo '03 brakes, with 6 pots brembo calipers, Oem disk 350x34, Jantech carriers and metallic brake lines. It fits perfect

Originally the calipers was yellow, but I painted in gloss black (040 mercedes benz) and I put a white brembo sticker..becouse yellow colour is very dirty and the calipers needed to be painted

I think that I could use the GT3 '03 porche's drilled disk, is it possible??

    pics...from my celular phone

the tools that I need to remove the old brake lines..they were "welded" with the years..

Brake lines installed, then I washed all very good to clean the old brake fluid

    caliper with carrier installed

    comparative pics

    bleeding

    finally

the rims are 18", S8 mk1. Today I cleaned the car and I did these with the camera, but the quallity isn't very good becouse I reduced the photos

If I could, this saturday morning I will fit the rear kit from quattro corner

    Bye

Nice, they look suitably small! What brake disc does this setup use?

You need a disc the same size, Brembo have an online catalogue that's quite good.

I'd avoid drilled discs, the holes fill up with brake dust when driving normally and can cause judder and uneven disc and pad wear and if you get them seriously hot, the holes act as crack initiators, scrapping the discs. They're more for looks than anything else, unless you're spending serious money on racing brakes that need the holes for out-gassing pads.

If you want to improve performance then it's all about the pads, tried and tested are DS2500 but there are other makes too. Discs wise, 6 groove discs are a good start for spirited driving but they're not really needed unless you're going to track it.

Do you have the part number for the porsche disc and does it have to be redrilled 5x112? (I presume so)

looking good anyways, how you finding them?

I use the car for daily use and same track day

I know that porsche fit those ventilated disc, not drilled, to avoid problems with the mud, which could plug the holes and damage the pads...

The test that porsche made on this brakes was 25 stops from 90% of top speed...cayenne turbo '03 weight 2430kg and his top speed are 266km/h....I think that brake well...but I don't have cayenne's rear brakes

Ok, I'm going to use ventilated discs, not drilled...but it's looks so pretty

They work very well, they stop better than oem

And the calipers with carriers weigth less than oem, like 2kg...but the disc something more than oem...the total weight it's simillar or something less, but I have a little more on the rotatory masses

                          Can I ask,

there are apparently two types of Cayenne brake calipers, and are normally clearly marked 17zl left or 17zr right or 18zl left and 18zr right raised in cast aluminum. 17 zl means it was from 17" wheel model ?

Can you advise which type of caliper you used on your car?

                          What size spacer?

Confirmation of who supplied your bracket, and the cost?

Does anyone know if there is an oem 5 x 112 brake disc that would work with this caliper and bracket ?

Oh yes, lastly can you reaffirm the size of discs used in the photos?

Nice car and brake set up btw.

                          Enjoy.

these brake setup was mine before, and before mine was from our forum friend Aron "Aronmatic2"
the dics are complete originals from Porsche, 350x34,but as you can see they were drilled to 5x112. if you got more questions about this, ask to Aron he did everything . and of course he did the custom caliper carriers.
the custom caliper carriers surelly were made only for this exact cayenne discs....

the calipers were from cayenne TURBO,the bigger ones i think.
and it needs 18" wheels yes or yes as i can see

                            anything else friend?

                              Thanks David

As my friend Rocco said, the kit was bought to Aron and he made the kit. The bracket was made by Jantech, I supose that they have schemes to do more sets

Mines are 17 zl and 17 zr, left and right, and I have brembo's serial number if you want to know it, told me

My spacers are GTZ 16mm, the wheel fits perfect, don't touch inside or outside

About the disc, vw touareg v10 TDI '03 mounts this brakes, is possible that his disc could fit on this setup?? I don't know yet...becouse I didn't find it on a cataloge, today if I can
