    Brake upgrade for S2 Avant

    Hi all,

Can you give a complete list with all the parts for a brake upgrade using porsche calipers that will fit under the stock 16" Avus.

Which parts and parts number should I get?

    Thanks

Calipers No 996-351-425/6 Boxster S Front calipers (try "le s2 audi" aka ken)

Slimline brackets that fit under the 16" avus wheel ( from "Bambridge" aka Me )

    Audi 314mm A8 discs

      Bambridge,

Do the same reply for 17" Avus wheels with 323mm discs and the thread can start to become a sticky?

      Thanks.

        Thank you!

Is that all, no need for oil brake lines?

And the A8 314 disc brakes is there a part number for them?

        Best regards.

You can use rs2 hardlines (or make your own, should only cost a few quid), get proper flexis, or i think you can make something up with a couple of oem flexis screwed together.

For discs if you look on ebay, gsf, eurocar parts etc, I think they come on 2.8 A8s, and they should list as 314.

            That´s helpful thank you!

Are there any alternatives disc wise for the 7A with the porsche calipers like 314 with 4x108?

I dont think there is a cost effective disc that works with the 4x108 setup, not without redrilling discs every time anyway. (Thats why i converted to 5x112 on my coupe)

Guy on audifans used ford discs, low hat height though so custom carriers pushed the calipers out and needed spacers to clear the spokes.

                Re drill 5x112-4x108?

I take it you have read this sticky in th brake section on the 996 brake conversion?

My brackets delivered to UK are £110-00 which includes all new mounting bolts.
Sure Ken will advise on his calipers but they usually go for aroung the £400/£450 mark depending on condition

                    Cheers

Ford focus RS discs(324x28mm) fit by enlarging the centre bore a few mm and are cheap

You can adapt normal flexi hoses to work, just needs a short 90deg bend making up with a fitting on either end. This is how i did mine:

                          Panthero Coupé quattro 20vt
                          Indigo ABY coupé
