Ferodo DS2500 part number for Girling 60...

    Hello everybody.

I´m a new member from Spain. My car is actually a VW Golf GTI with Audi S2 spare parts, like the brakes.

Now I have to change the pads and rotors, and I want to get Ferodo DS2500, but I can´t get the part number, and I´m getting crazy with my local retailer to find those pads.

Doese anybody know the part number of the DS2500 for the Girling 60?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Funnily enough, I've been doing a bit of work on this recently, as I've fitted my old S2 brakes to a mate's GTI 16v...

EBC Yellowstuff seem to be the best VFM and I'm reliably informed (from users) that they've solved the issues that plagued EBC's reputation some 5 years ago.

Other options are from Mintex. Pete's going for M1155 for a track application, they also do mathcing rears. M1144 are fast road only really, although the thermal mass of the 25mm disc might make things much better than my 260x22mm BMW brakes, with 1/2 the area pads...

It might also interest you to know that the 4 stud 280mm brake discs off a Vauxhall Meriva fit and are the correct 25mm thick We've just had to use some 1.5mm washers on the carrier
