Parts needed for RS2 (small reds) on S2

Hello Guys,

I deal with Corne on this forum, 2 RS2 calipers (aka small reds)
I would like to know what i need exactly to fit them under my OEM 16" AVUS on my S2 :

- brake discs from A8 in 314x30//5x112 are plug n play ? better solutions ?
- which braket do I need and where can I buy them ?
- I already have some goodridge brakes hoses on my OEM S2 brakes (276/25) do I need to change all the hoses or just the last one connected to caliper ?
- do I need some spacers on AVUS 16" rims ? which size ?

I dont think those calipers plug+play with A8 314mm discs, it looks like you might have to go here

But

Its the Boxster S FRONT calipers, part No 996-351-425/6 that are the plug+play A8 314mm discs with bambridges caliper brackets..

It might be worth contacting bambridge here to see if he as adaptors for your calipers.

Yes all you need change is the last flex from strut to caliper.

314 mm discs and small reds will fit inside the 16" Avus wheels.

I used the original RS2 bracket and put 2x4mm(3mm??) washers on each bolt between the bracket and the caliper, just to lift the caliper up to fit over the larger brake disc.

So if you have the original RS2 bracket you need something to move it 6-8 mm out.

Ulitmot brackets for small reds with 314mm discs worked on my car.

Mentioned it to Bambridge at the time of installation, not sure if he decided to make a similar bracket. You should ask him first. Ultimot works, but it is not cheap.

Mine were fitted underneath 18 Avus rims so can't comment either regarding the fit under 16 Avus.

Hi,

RS2 Calippers are @ home

For information to community :

- BREMBO n° 20.4564.00 & 20.4565.00
- 40mm and 30mm pistons
- 130mm between center brackets holes
- 70 mm large

These are 928S4 Calipers... I hear they're the same as the small blacks on RS2's,...so this bracket should essentially work as well, right?

They look very similar as my rs2 one
it should work with brackets from ultimot or ebay

However these piston sizes are 36mm/40mm which are exactly the same as the BigBlack 928GTS caliper but in a smaller housing... I've tried regular RS2 brackets on 314x30 A8 rotors and they do rub the housing...

So what did I do... I got a bigger caliper Audi S8 caliper with a whopping 40mm/44mm piston size mated to 323x30 discs


But I do see how washers(or the thicker ebay bracket) would've helped space the 928S4caliper to the outer edge of the 314 disc allowing it to work...
On the other hand, the bracket listed above could also possibly give my new S8 caliper enough clearance to put 345x30mm S8 disc on it... hmmm the possibilities!
