    Porshe 944 turbo upgrade

    Hi guys,

I've been offered a pair of 944 Turbo 4 pot Brembo's for very resonable money. I know they're not as desirable as the 996 monoblocks but they're still certainly more meaty than the standard S2 items. What do you guys think?

I'd be looking at using either 323mm or 345mm A8/ S8 discs, with adaptors made to suite. Anybody on here using this set-up, and if so what do you think? I could probably buy and refurbish the calipers, new discs, pads and braided lines for the price of a pair of monoblocks, so it is tempting.

Any help/ guidance will be much appreciated.

    Tom

I don't see why they wouldn't be a good upgrade from std as long as you can make the brkt to mount them. Also, if they are the same as the 944S2 calipers, watch for corrosion under the stainless steel pad slider plates. This can cause the plates to bend and bind the pads.

Thanks, i had been warned about the pad sliders. Yes they are the same as the 944S2 calipers. Will i have any clearance issues with 345mm discs and 18" TT replica wheels?
