Brake Lines For 996 Upgrade - *URGENT*

    Hi All,

I urgently need a set of front brake lines for mr UR Quattro. I'm upgrading to the Porche 996's. The problem is that the Company that has been recommended don't seem to be answering the phone, the voice mail box is full and no reply to e-mails.

My main issue is that I am going on the Tour De Ecosse next Thursday and can not go in the car as it is due to a combination of brake set-up and wheel size. Basically when you brake and turn, the wheels push the wings out!!!

    Any recommendations please.

Either PM or text to 07889 317827

    Thanks in advance.

RS2 lines can be made from copper brake pipe... as that's all they are

My 996s are M10x1 and just use the OE lines to get the other end correct where it joins the flexi.

I hope that picture is upside down, otherwise, how do you bleed them?

I hope where that hard line joins the flexi that the flexi is held fixed in place by something, if not then the hard line could be moving slightly when you go from lock to lock and this could work harden it and it will snap off !

I can't see the pic as it won't load at work. Probably pic is upside down and I think there is a clamp for the flexi.

Any more holes people want to pick without having seen the car!?

I'm not saying there isn't a clamp just that from the pic it there does not seem to be one.
I'm only trying to help, if there is no clamp for the flexi then me pointing this out
could prevent you from ending up dead when your brake line snaps off.

You don't have to take my advice or take offence, these choices are yours.
