Possible new large brake disc option

While I have been working on the rebuild on my S2 a Volvo XC90 came through the garage and had new discs fitted which gave me an idea.

I currently have the AP racing setup with 330 x 32mm discs. From a quick search on the web the hat height on the S2 is 56mm and the XC90 is 52mm with 5 x 108mm bolt spacing.

With a 4mm spacer and a small amount of machining to extend the bolt slots it could be possible to use these on mine when the AP discs need replacing at a considerably lower cost.

Standard XC90 discs are about £80 and EBC grooved £140. Replacement AP's ~£300 and some on the bay for £90 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLVO-XC90...16099742083590

Once I have the engine sorted I will revisit this properly. But thought it might be useful if anyone else wants to investigate it in the mean time.
