No ABS light with diff lock engaged?

    Hi Guys

Having a problem with my ABS light on my 3B.

When i start the car the ABS light comes on for a couple of seconds then goes out, which to me indicates that all is well with the system.

However, when i press the diff lock button and the green light comes on to say it's engaged the ABS light does not illuminate on the dash. If i disengage the diff lock and press the ABS cancel switch this still does not illuminate the light in the instrument cluster.

The diff lock definately engages as i can here it drag when i move off then disengages itself @15-20 mph.

I checked the relay under the dash to see if the 10a fuse had blown which it hadn't. When i removed the fuse the ABS light lit up on the instrument cluster.

Has anyone else had these symptoms and if so what would be the next step in fault finding.

    Look forward to your help.

    Thanks and Regards
    Gordon

Disable your diff lock until you can resolve this problem...your car is dangerous with this problem

      Hi Chezz
Why do you suggest to disable my difflock? It seems to engage and disengage with no problems expect for the lack of ABS cancel function illumination on instrument cluster. I went for a drive earlier and was testing braking hard which resulted in the ABS taking over and not allowing lock up. Any ideas why i can not cancel it manually using the ABS switch or pressing diff lock button.

      Any suggestions much appreciated.

      Regards
      Gordon

          Hi

Is that the relay under the dash with the 10a fuse? I dont have a spare relay so what would be the best way to test it?
          Cheers
