Can any of you who had custom made A8/S8 disc tell how you do it? Easy? take long time? How you drilled the disc etc.

Don't do it. You won't improve your braking performance. You may actually worsen your brake power as the x-drilling INCREASES the pad/disc interface temperature, giving you greater risk of brake fade. It can also cause the disc to crack - those holes introduce lots of stress lines that aren't meant to be there.

A drilled disc makes no improvement. A carved one may be better. I wouldn't buy a drilled one again.

Drilled discs are abit of a gimmick IMHO.
Grooved discs do improve breaking (6 grooves is plenty).
If your using A8 disc i'm assuming that your using upgraded brakes, do you really need better disks?
Invest in some ferodo DS2500 pads instead, i almost go through the windscreen with these babie's under hard braking.

Im interested in fitting a set of a8's....

apart from the disk, what else would i need?

                        caliper? pipes?
