hmm whats the difference as the porsche in question originally had a 996 351 425 caliper on it but has been upgraded to the turbo caliper(but the porsche isnt running a caliper adapter etc) is it just the disc difference?NOT a car dealer! just an S2/RS2 enthusiastComment

Yes but you are better using the merc disc as the A8 disc is 30mm width and the merc is 32mm or 34mm can't remember which. w429 were designed to used with a wider disc than 30mm
In saying that Bambridge and VRS have off the shelf brackets I think for the A8 disc so that does make it easier there.Comment

Thanks jamo , it really is only just a question... even from the picture (to me the turbo caliper looks like it has the same mounting points as the non turbo caliper) yes its definately bigger i totally agree there.
Maybe the porka has had the hub changed ? (i dont really want to go to a porsche forum i just wanted to know if it was worth nicking those brakes and trying to fit it with the others )NOT a car dealer! just an S2/RS2 enthusiastComment
