Ive just ordered some Textars off ebay for £62 - the seller was Autosperformanceonline and these were cheaper than GSF - although I did get my discs from GSF. Btw Ebay GSF is cheaper than the branches :mischeif:

              Such a subjective question...

What is the car's main use?
Will it ever see a track?
A road school run or B road blast?

Brake pads are like tyres; they can make a big difference if they're right and an even bigger difference if they're wrong. Cheap brakes on an S2 is also a very bad idea

er actually my question wasnt supposed to be "what brand" it was supposed to be "what pad" i.e part numbers - im probablly gonna go padgid as they are standard for brembo's anyway

thanks for that , still slightly confused about variants though as that ferrodo picture shows one pad but the mintex/padgis picture shows a pad with weights on the edge of the pad ?

For a road car, stick to Textar (OE Porsche supplier) or Pagid as you'll never get enough heat into the DS2500 to make them work properly. Ferodo DS might be ok if they do them or Brembo own brand.

Ferodo don't have the lugs on but are the same pad shape. HTH.

As above i use the DS2500's on mine and they are fantastic when warmed up, but for daily driving in traffic a regular pad would be a better choice. Only thing i dont like about Textars is the amount of dust they produce, lots and lots of thick black stuff.

Rubbish with stock brakes, never tried them in a Porsche caliper.
