quattro rally car brake and front hub setup (interesting video)

    Link taken from audisrs.

In the video we see a gearbox being changed in a matter of minutes at the roadside. It's an impressive watch for that reason alone.

While doing so the front wheels are taken from the car to reveal a leading brake caliper rather than a trailing one as we have on the s2. It's more like the urS6 setup which is also leading.

The caliper is obviously fixed rather than floating and a bell and disc setup is used.

Does anybody have any information about this setup, specifically which hub is used, diameter and thickness of the disc and the piston sizes in the caliper.

I guess we now know why they cut the top of the clutch housing off on the later race car transmission.

my bad, pertaining to the brake setup or just the video itself? I didn't find any reference to it when I looked earlier.
