    Brake setup

I am in the process of buying master cylinders and buying or building pedal assembly for clutch/brake.Until a few days ago i wanted to follow the route of using oe cars brake pump and vacuum servo and mounting a diesel vacuum pump in the 20v cylinder head by making gears and calculated speed to obtain needed vacuum. But now i need to get the pedals and steering more to the rear of the car and i need another plan.I have no experience in selecting master brake cylinder bore and travel length, also pedal ratio for a NON power assisted brake setup and i need help to make a good setup for my b2cq.The calipers will be max 4 pistons on front and one piston on rear.Maybe someone has passed this step?
I was thinking at Tilton or Wilwood.Who else on euro market?Because these 2 sold on euro market are almost 1/3 expensive than in US.

    Best regards,

I measured today the oe SERVO(vacuum assisted) brake pedal and ratio is about 5:1.On some sites i found 3:1 for servo and 5:1 for mechanical

You need to calculate your pedal ratio and the surface area of your pistons this will then give you all the information you need to buy the correct Cylinders

Thx for info.In theory i know that more:1 ratio gives less effort to stop the car. Also smaller bore for master cyl creates more pressure and that means less effort when pushing the pedal. Also if small bore of master a lot of travel of pedal is used so a more:1 ratio needed to compensate and get the travel of pedal shorter(and that increases effort,so the middle should be found). But that is juts theory for me
I now should measure oe master of the car and select a small bore than that,or a more:1 ratio pedal assembly to use brakes without assisting. But,i will split the master in 2 master cylinders so how to take that?Less effort to push pedal and stay with oe master bore?

No with two cylinders you will need a balance bar and a smaller front than the rear but its all depending on your brakes of course

Either way you need to work out your pedal ratio and the piston area to select the correct ones

I have now a b4 coupe brake pedal assembly with hydraulic clutch and i found the pedals get more to the back than b2 pedals were and they can be easy mod to get more back.About cylinders,i ordered a box that will fit audi with balance bar and 2 wilwood master and reservoirs.
Now i am in the point of buying 2 front girling 2 piston calipers with carriers.I need pads that will still brake when hot.I only know ferodo ds pads to be abble to do that.I know there are other brands and maybe you could give me some advices about pads used during rally. The problem is that in the ferodo ds catalogue they do not show any ds for s2 girling calipers. On bay only in uk there are ds pads for s2. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ferodo-DS3...item43b22318a7
Do you know something about ds pads for s2?They stopped production or what?

              Best regards

Why this pads are rated to be for s2?
I can not obtain a real photo from the company i posted link above to see what pads are these fcp590.But the photo does not look the same with any coupe quattro or not.
I also did not find any pagid products.
What are you running to keep 15 inch wheels and to hold to rally/hill climb event?
I looked for a4 pads and those fcp 590 seem to be for a4 in ferodo catalogue also picture looks identical with any a4 pads(ate, jurid, textar etc).So they sell A4 pads for s2.Or is any s2 with that caliper?
