what the difference between the porsche calipers part numbers

    996-351-425 & 996-351-426
    and
    996-351-429 & 996-351-430
i take it they both have different pads but is there any difference?

IIRC the first are boxter s / 996 and the second are 996 twin turbo/gt3,
so the diferance would be size, the later being bigger and having 6 pistons
    not 4.

The early Gt3 429/430s only have 4 pistons, the later Gt3 brakes have 6 though.

The 429/430s are generally bigger than the 425/426s with bigger pistons & disc width, not sure of other differences.

So I take it the latter ones are better calipers? I have the 996 / boxter s on at the mo so would the gt3 ones be seen as an upgrade then. If so would they be a straight swap to use with seat Leon caliper carriers? Cheers

Or are the hole center's for the carrier different so I'd need different brackets etc

What pads are you running with the current setup? Do you use the car on track?

just the bigger piston is larger and the pistons are also spaced out more so the pads are bigger too.

you need to run a thicker rotor too ideally, 32 or 34mm with the TT/GT3 4 pots.
