    996 advise needed

I am about to fit my 996 front calipers.I have the calipers, carriers, disks and pads, but not the lines.I have done a search and there seems to be some conflicting information
over whether to use hard lines or braided hoses.
Which is the best way to go about this. What do I need and what are the part numbers.
Many Thanks in advance for any help

As the calipers don't move, you can use hard lines, where you can't on the floating OE calipers. Either will be just fine

Hardlines are cheap and easy to make.

I would fit flexis though, then you can unbolt the caliper and hang it with the brake line still connected ( eg changing discs etc). You dont want to bend hardlines back and forth.

The problem with braided lines is fixing them to the chassis and strut. The oem flexis have circlip type ends which slot into the mounts and secure with ease, securing aftermarket flexis with different fittings can be a headache...

I ended up using Porsche flexis (which came with some calipers I bought) from chassis to strut and hardlines from strut to caliper.

the set I had looked like black goodridge ones that corey supplied with the brakets and bells.

                worked a treat.
