Afternoon all!
Just wondering if someone can give me some advice about the brakes on my 80.
It has currently got a set of coupe V6 280mm discs on the front with Audi S2 Girling G60 twin pot calipers. After looking at my brakes the other day I noticed that a lip was forming on the inner of the brake pads where the pad wasn't in contact with the disc.
As I understood it the S2 calipers were meant for 280mm discs and there wouldn't be any problems with changing to the S2 calipers.
I wouldn't have thought that I could have mis-aligned anything but now I'm starting to think I've done something wrong.
Here is what i mean:
Image below shows the lip on the inside of the pads.
Image below shows how the pads sit in the calipers against the disc.
It looks like the ID of the contact area is too big?
