Upgrading RS2 Rear calipers to Monoblock (bracket drawings)

Does anybody have drawings for the brackets required to fit monoblocks to rear of RS2?

I remember VRS selling them on ebay but I'll be making my own. Just ordered the calipers (Boxster S/ C2S) and was hoping to get a head start on making the brackets.

If not I'll have to measure up myself. Will post up pics if anyone's interested.

      RS2 rear brakes

I have used the VRS adaptors for the rears on an S2 coupe with 996 calipers (see separate thread). That conversion uses S4 300x22 rear discs with a separate handbrake. AFAIK the discs on an RS2 have a totally different hat height and as such would not fit exactly. That said, they may fit if the adaptors are spaced inboard (the S4 disc has a much shallower hat height than the RS2). The calipers could be spaced out from the adaptor as well. What I do know is the 996 calipers fit to the adaptors. I don't know if the bolt spacing on the RS2 hub is the same as that of the adaptor. I seem to recall that the bolt spacing on the coupe rear hub is 90mm, which will be that of the VRS adaptor. If the bolt spacing of the RS2 rear hub is 90mm then in my view the VRS adaptor could be used as the basis of getting to a specific RS2 adaptor by spacing with washers.

Yes, I can confirm that the bolt holes in the rear hub assembly of a coupe are 90mm apart (from centre hole to centre hole) as are those of the VRS adaptor. BTW the mounting holes of a front RS2 caliper adaptor are 92mm apart.

ok I've successfully done this now, pictures to follow.

hole centres for rear calipers are 94.00mm apart.
hole centres for boxster S/911 C2 monoblock brembo calipers are 130.00mm apart
centre line of bracket mounting holes to the caliper mating face is 16.00mm
centre line of caliper mounting holes from hub mating face is 16.50mm

these brackets are a tight fit

Does this solve the problem of the RS2's totally useless handbrake? If so I'm very interested in knowing approximate costs and difficulty/labour intensiveness of the work as I won't be doing the work myself.

I have to reverse down a slope to get off my drive and the handbrake (even with new shoes) barely holds the car, I often have to pump the footbrake with the handbrake fully taught.....

            Cheers

Mine will locks the wheels, adjustment under the heat shield helps a lot then fine adjust/tune the shoes with the adjuster
