    Best Brake 16 inch wheels

    Guys,

what is the best front brake that I can fit on 16"wheels.

I need to upgrade my front brake, but I don't want to replace my wheels.

Today I'm using drilled rotor + RED EBC Pads, horrible setup...

    Any idea?

Easiest that fits under 16" Avus wheels is 996 calipers, a8 314mm discs, rs2 hardlines or get a set of flexis and bambridge or similar carriers.

    Loads of info in here

If you want the "best" braking possible a set of proper race calipers will let you run a much larger disc, alloy bell etc but will cost more.

All 16" wheels are not created equal. Which ones are you talking about?

I'm going to read the threads above.
I'm interested on this 034 kit, but I don't know if the boxer calipers will be good enough.

The wheels are this one below.

            Thanks!

I have the 996 or boxter S calipers with 314mm discs on Bambridge brackets under those wheels. They are close though.

Done enough track days to confirm that these are more than enough for the road. The one thing people usually comment on when taking a passenger lap is the braking but that's on proper tyres, 16" shopping tyres aren't grippy enough to really generate brake temps on the DS2500.

would you use the Boxter S front´s and rears on a 500hp S2 with 17" or 18" federal semi slicks tires? 99% road usage

Power isn't really relevant on the road, anything over 300bhp can go fast

Under 17s, you want the 429/430 callipers with 330 or 345 discs. You can run 323 with the 425/6 callipers but 17s only, not 16s

They're 2 piece so are prone to corrosion. Best to stick with 996 monoblock IMO
