Crappy RS2 Handbrake - best solution?

Seperate handbrake caliper is the answer, rs2 one is just cr@p and I don't know why ala my thread referenced earlier up

Thanks but to repeat from previous threads, hydraulic handbrakes are illegal in the U.K and an MOT failure hence the seperate calipers is the only route for us.

Before I took my S2 off the road earlier this year I had started to research hand brake mechanisms for the rear of mine, while fitting decent rear calipers.
We know the RS2 system is bad.
Subaru use internal drums but are also a weak point. BMW and Mercedes use this system and both work well. My plan was to use RS2 rear disks but replace the actuating mechanism with a better one. I didn't get too far but it's food for thought.
