  • Can't find torque spec on brake servo pump

Topic was a little misleading but I'm looking for the amount of torque needed to tighten the bolt that hooks up the hose coming from the brake bomb and onto the servo/vane/tandem pump. I over torqued this but the pump itself looks unhurt so now I've gotten myself a new bolt and I don't want to over torque this one also.

Once partscats.com is up and running again I will try to get the part number and the link for the drawing showing the pump so it's easier to see what bolt I mean.

Edit, forgot to write that this is on a -94 RS2

These are a very soft material and easily damaged.

Pretty sure it's only 20 Nm

I learned this the hard way 23£ for a new bolt.

Thanks. If it's to low I will blow the o-rings again also so that's a concern aswell :S How much sure is pretty sure?

For comparsion only, on a Type 44 its listed as 25NM. The return is 40NM and the pressure is 35NM. These are for the O ring fittings.

Whats the part number? If it starts with 443 its a Type44 fitting.

Partscats is still down so I can't check atm but will go to the garage soon and then I will see what it says on the package it came in.

Well all I can say is that bolt is used for the same purpose on another Audi model and the published figure is 25NM!
Its from a Bentley workshop manual which were the official workshop publications.

It didn't break at 25 at least. Also this time I used a lot of oil around the bolt/o-rings so the o-rings should not take damage while torquing up so hope it lasts. Will do a test drive and post back
