    Monoblock upgrades

Just discovered your site, pretty good.

I notice a few of you are using Porsche upgrades for your brakes. How would you likje the same kit and performance for under £800.00GBP?
Using of the shelf components based around the Porsche monoblock calipers and Audi discs?
Contact me offline if you want to discuss further.

The Hi-Spec MOnster 4-pot kit with A8 314x30 discs is the target price to beat there Corey - its in the £750-800 region and is a straight bolt-on with the 16" Avus wheels.

Does your kit work inside the factory 16" 5-spoke rims - without wheel spacers ?

Also - are the calipers black or red ?

Finally - aren't you the chap who can machine the 4-ring logo into the caliper ?

    Cheers,

I've seen some incredibly well priced monobloc kits on the website of a Porsche specialist Warrington.

Corey are you a (or indeed this) Porsche specialist?

Complete kit £705.00, includes everything you need except the car and brake fluid.

          >oes your kit work inside the factory 16" 5-spoke rims - without wheel spacers ?

          Yes

          >Also - are the calipers black or red ?

Depends on which kit you buy

          >Finally - aren't you the chap who can machine the 4-ring logo into the caliper ?

Can machine anything you want, as an example "quattro" in the correct script would cost an extra £50 for the pair.

as you all know I have no connection with Hi-Spec except as a customer......

£750 is the fitted price for the kit at Hi-Spec.

            Parts only price is <£650

I bought my kit on supply only and it was about £620 plus pads at £34.

BUT, that quattronics kit sound good tho. Bit late for me sorry Corey. Can you post some pictures? Be interesting to see the kit.

What size discs do you use? Are they grooved or drilled etc? What pads?

Do not do images at this stage, website is coming.
But to give you a clue as to what the kit uses, it is a Porsche Monoblock caliper and a brake disc. :nana:

But if I am going to compete with Hispec, will they machine any logo in their caliper, at no extra charge?
(Yes I know I said it would cost, so I changed my mind )

I am sure the Hispec is just as good, it is just I believe in using Standard Porsche/Audi components, so that there will never be any rebuild problems, the need ever arrises.

I did think about that! What happens if Hi-spec disappear? Where do i get seal kits from??

I am going to order a spare seal kit etc, just in case.

The only benefit of the Hi-spec calipers is that they use standard AP racing caliper brake pads. These are cheap as chips compared to the Porsche pads fitted to the **** 2.

Ok, ok dont rub it in. Those Porsche calipers would look soo nice behind the rims!!

I note that you have to use spacers also, mine does not.
Does the hi spec kit include rear goodridge lines also, mine do.

Pad choice is upto the individuals choice, I can tailor it to requirements, I will look into different disc combinations, if there is demand.
