I am looking for replacement guide/slider pins for standard s2 front brakes. Audi say they only come with the carriers. Has anyone found an alternative pin from another source. The g60 brakes are common fitment to other vag cars. You can get replacement pins for most cars, so why not for the S2. They are 60 x 10mm. The 2.8 had the same brakes would they fit.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
ebay is your friend, they can be bought as a kit with pins, rubber boots and the specific white grease. I need to get some for the rears and are about £12 a side.
I had to replace a couple of mine because I lost them, don't think the link in this thread is live still but at least you can see which type will do the job, their A4 rears.
Rusty when My son fitted my porche brakes ,he lost three of the pins S2driver uk
Thanks for the ebay link, but I have already searched with no luck.
Ah, right. Might be best to just get a set off a car that's being broken then. You can pick up complete brakes for £50-100 and then refurbish the calipers too and then sell on your old calipers?
The term G60 is pretty confusing in VAG circles, as the Golf G60 brakes are actually Girling G54 calipers, not the twin pot G60s like the S2/80/90 ones are.
IIRC, Girling G60s were also fitted to Land Rover Discoveries, so that may provide another source of parts...

Same pins are used on Volvo 740/760/940/960, Nissan Primera, Dacia Logan/Sandero and huge list of Reanults.
I recently bought two sets of replacement pins and they were marked as Volvo parts.
